Monday, April 24, 2017 – the day I get to relive one hour of my life while traveling back to Canada.

After a good night’s sleep, made my way to the Ueno train station to take the train and monorail to the Haneda airport to catch my 5:40 pm flight. The flight is scheduled to arrive in Toronto at 4:45 pm the same day, because we fly over the international date line. Hence, I will get to relive one hour of my life over again.

I arrived early at Haneda airport, so had a chance to explore the airport. Found a nice rest area, which looked like a bridge above it.

I later discovered you could actually go up one more level where there were these beautiful murals.

I then discovered a wonderful rooftop observation deck where you could watch the planes land and take off. I can’t remember being at an airport with an outside observation deck since they had one at Halifax airport many years ago.

I spent a couple hours just watching the planes come and go. It was truly fasinating.

Then on my way to check-in there were a couple displays for Boys day in May.

As I sit at the gate ready for boarding, I decided to publish my final blog from Japan for this trip.

The data SIMM card I purchased worked great and was able to get data access everywhere I went.

Overall an enjoyable trip and a great break. Hopefully the snow is finally all gone in Ottawa and ready to get the backyard set up to enjoy summer in Ottawa.
